Foundation Partners

We couldn't have grown without them! Boundless Playgrounds® is grateful for support we receive from our foundation partners who have shared in our mission of developing extraordinary, inclusive playgrounds where children of all abilities can play together. We thank them all for their commitment and for sharing their resources to improve the lives of children and families.

The Hasbro Co. Charities
Support from the Hasbro Charities for Boundless Playgrounds has been ongoing and multi-faceted since our organization’s inception.

  • In 1998, the Hasbro Children's Foundation awarded Boundless Playgrounds its first major funding, a three-year grant to establish the Boundless Playgrounds Hasbro National Resource Center, to launch Boundless Playgrounds’ national education campaign, and to provide support and services to develop 24 Boundless™ playgrounds in disadvantaged communities across the United States.
  • In 2001, Boundless Playgrounds received an additional two years of funding from the Hasbro Children's Foundation to support the organization's national growth initiative.
  • In 2001, Hasbro Charities provided funding to support the first corporate-sponsored Boundless™ playground. Hasbro’s Boundless™ playground at Roger Williams Park in Providence, RI, is a gift to the children of that community.
  • In 2005, celebrities and Hasbro employees designed custom Mr. Potato Head toys that were auctioned on eBay to benefit Boundless Playgrounds.
  • In 2006, Hasbro Charities provided funding for the Wilson Boundless™ playground at Bliss Park in Longmeadow, MA, to honor the retirement of David Wilson, former president of the Hasbro games division in East Longmeadow, MA.

NFL Charities
NFL Charities provided Boundless Playgrounds with a four-year matching challenge grant to support a regional strategy to increase awareness and encourage the development of Boundless™ playgrounds in regional markets throughout the United States. The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation
Through a generous $500,000 four-year challenge grant, the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Wishes and Dreams Program was established. This $1:$3 matching grant program enabled Boundless Playgrounds to more than triple the value of gifts from individuals to support our core operations and outreach necessary to move Boundless Playgrounds’ mission and vision forward.

In 2000, The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation provided a matching challenge grant to support Boundless Playgrounds technical assistance and design services for the community projects participating in the Maryland Boundless Playgrounds Initiative, with a goal of developing 10 Boundless™ playgrounds projects throughout the state. The Maryland Boundless Playgrounds Initiative was also supported through a $1 million matching challenge grant from the State of Maryland, which ultimately translated into $3.3 million in public and private contributions for the projects and provided a model program that has been replicated in the states of Connecticut and Michigan.

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to assisting the poor, primarily through operating and capital grants to direct service organizations. These grants are focused on meeting basic needs such as shelter, nutrition, health and socialization and on enhancing an individual’s ability to meet those needs. Within that focus, emphasis is placed on the elderly and Jewish communities.
