Boundless Playgrounds
Celebrates HIP6
(Hartford Inclusive Play)

HIP6, a celebration of the development of six new inclusive Boundless™ playgrounds in low-income or underserved Greater Hartford communities, will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2008. This ambitious endeavor represents one of the largest programs of its kind in the United States and places the Greater Hartford community at the forefront of the inclusive play movement.

The catalyst grants for HIP6 playground projects are made possible through a generous grant to Boundless Playgrounds from Hartford Foundation for Public Giving to support the "Greater Hartford Safe Kids Challenge Grant Program."

Boundless Playgrounds Announces CEO

Frederick A. Leone, a seasoned corporate executive with a wealth of experience in finance, law and community outreach was recently named Boundless Playgrounds' Chief Executive Officer, announced Steve Shaw, Chairman of the Board.

In his new role, Leone will provide leadership and direct oversight of daily management and operations, staff and all fundraising and development activities that support the success and growth of Boundless Playgrounds.

Host a Boundless PLAYATHON®
Gather with your family and friends to "play for a cause" and help make a difference in the lives of children of all abilities. A PLAYATHON® event is a great way for families and children of all ages to raise funds for Boundless Playgrounds, while playing and having fun. Hasbro Children's Fund is proud to offer this innovative fundraising tool to its philanthropic partners.

Get Involved

Act fast. A limited number of PLAYATHON® kits are available on a first come, first served basis.
Agree to host a PLAYATHON® event by contacting Denise Robidoux, Boundless Playgrounds' Development Manager, by emailing drobidoux@boundlessplaygrounds.org or calling 860.243.8315, ext. 120
After you receive your PLAYATHON® kit, get started by accepting pledges for playing from your family and friends, then gather everyone for an exciting time of fun and games

P.S. After hosting your PLAYATHON® event, you can pass your kit to another family member, friend or colleague so they can "play for the cause."

"Play Together" Song Inspires Others
Carly Goodwin, a country music singer, was inspired by Boundless Playgrounds to record "Play Together." The song was co-written by Carly's husband Josh Kear, a Grammy nominee and ASCAP "Song of the Year" award winner for Carrie Underwood's, "Before He Cheats." Special thanks to Carly and her team, as well as Boundless Playgrounds' longtime supporter Hasbro, Inc. for underwriting the recording of "Play Together."
