There are many factors that impact the cost of building a playground above and beyond playground equipment, safety surfacing, and the installation of equipment and surfacing. These factors are discussed in the Boundless Playgrounds Get Ready Guide - Section 7, Determine the Budget. Factors can include, but are not limited to, purchasing a site if necessary, hiring a landscape/construction professional, site preparation, drainage concerns, pathways to and through the playground, removal of existing equipment, and the costs of site amenities such as parking, bathrooms and benches.
