FREDERICK A. LEONE
Chief Executive Officer
Boundless Playgrounds®
Frederick A. Leone serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Boundless Playgrounds, the first national nonprofit dedicated to helping communities create extraordinary playgrounds where children, with and without disabilities, can develop essential skills for life as they learn together through play.
Leone's leadership skills and corporate experience, coupled with his commitment and dedication to the ideals of inclusive play, will help empower even more communities to make a difference in the lives of children of all abilities.
Prior to joining Boundless Playgrounds, Leone served as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel for the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ in New York City, where he provided executive oversight for all legal and compliance matters.
In addition to his corporate accomplishments, Leone has a special affinity for community leadership and play. He has supported the RAIN Community Land Trust, Target Margin Theater, The AIDS Resource Center and served on the governing board for Elwood Public Schools. In 1995, Leone became the youngest President of The Yale Club of New York City, an 11,000-member university club serving Yale alumni. Leone engineered a near total renovation of the Club's facilities and helped bring it to record profit and membership levels.
Athletics have always played a special role in Leone's personal and professional life. In 1981, Leone was elected captain of Yale University's varsity football team. During his time on the playing field, he was named an "Academic All-America" and Sports Illustrated "National Defensive Player of the Week."
Leone has a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Yale University. In 1988, he received his juris doctorate from the Fordham University School of Law.
Leone and his wife Patty have three children, Gloria, Carmen and Patrick.
